Officially known as the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (CERTA), Lynx has relocated their offices to the new site right off of Interstate 4 in downtown Orlando. The construction included a six-story office building and a very large spaceframe canopy to cover the bus loading zones.

The client and HHCP Architects were convinced that aluminum was the right material for this exterior canopy application to avoid any life cycle maintenance costs. The all-aluminum spaceframe canopy system was designed utilizing graceful, undulating curves. The spaceframe was fabricated out of CST’s all-aluminum Omni*Hub spaceframe system, which enabled the architects to create a graceful form.

The canopies were clad with approximately 88,000 square feet of corrugated decking creating signature waves against the Orlando skyline.
